When It Comes to Creating a Custom Translation, We Speak Your Language -- and Quite a Few More!
To date, Channing Bete Company products have been translated into more than 28 languages. Our expert translations process follows the same strict, quality-control steps we use when creating our English-language products, saving you time and worry.
A translation is never simply a word-for-word conversion. We strive to match the intent of the English products on which our translations are based, using native speakers to translate and edit,
and an in-house expert to verify that the translation is complete.
And we don't stop with text. When necessary, we also "translate" design elements -- making adjustments to graphics and illustrations so they fit on the translated page and appeal to the particular audience.
Please note: Our custom translations require special pricing and have minimum-quantity ordering requirements.

Delivering the Right Information in the Right Languages
Challenge
Aware that a flu pandemic would result in a flood of patients to emergency rooms, doctors' offices, and clinics, our customer needed to deliver critical pandemic flu preparedness information in multiple languages to every single household in the state -- including its rapidly growing Vietnamese population.
Solution
We already had an English-language handbook on pandemic flu preparedness that the customer thought was perfect, as well as its Spanish counterpart. Working with native speakers, we translated the handbook into Vietnamese, adhering to our strict development process to create a version with the same high quality as those in English and Spanish.
We also created wraps -- custom covers -- for the English and Spanish handbooks, making it easy for people to see that they came from an official source -- our customer.
Native-language speakers help ensure the accuracy and cultural sensitivity of our translated publications.

In order to promote effective flu prevention, we didn't just tell people to wash their hands; we showed them the proper way to do it per updated CDC guidelines.
