Substance Use Prevention For Grades K-3 (91138)R
For presenting to early elementary school children (ages 5-8)
Most people don't abuse alcohol and do not use tobacco or other drugs. Alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs only get a lot of attention because the people who use them can cause a lot of damage, not only to themselves but also to society. Every child needs to learn at an early age that using alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs can hurt their body, their mind -- and their future.
Designed specifically for a younger audience, this presentation comes in two 20-minute sections that can be presented together or on different days. Through engaging stories and activities, children learn how alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs can hurt them in many different ways. They learn age-appropriate facts, and different ways to say no if someone tries to tempt them. They also learn how to set positive goals for the future.
This presentation will let you quickly and easily educate children on:
- the difference between good and bad drugs
- the physical and social consequences of using drugs
- ways to refuse drugs
- how to set positive goals and reach them.
Package also includes 25 copies each of these workbooks:
"Know What?® Drugs Are Dumb!" (97948)B
"Know What?® Smoking Stinks!" (97923)B
