February is American Heart Month!
Cardiovascular diseases are our nation's number one killer. To urge Americans to join the battle against these diseases, Congress has required the president to designate February as American Heart Month since 1963.
Each February, thousands of volunteers visit their neighbors with two goals: to raise funds for research and education, and to pass along valuable information on heart disease and stroke.
This year, use our research-based resources to extend the reach of your American Heart Month efforts -- in February, and all year long!
